Straight from the Show Floor - Creativation 2020!

Hello and welcome to the blog!

This past weekend I was lucky enough to attend the biggest weekend in crafting - - Creativation 2020 in Phoenix Arizona.

Today I am going to share some of my fave booths and new products along with a few random sights from Creativation!

So gather up your favorite ScraPerfect Products, especially that Best Glue Ever and Embellie Gellie, because I am going to spark your creative soul!

Let's go!

What is Creativation?  Creativation is a 5 day trade show for the craft and hobby industry - manufacturers, artists, designers and all types of people from craft and hobby businesses gather to learn, connect and discover what's new!

I traveled with my friend, Tracy Weinzapfel (Your Artful Journey / TW Studios) and we had a great weekend of creativity and belly laughs.

What is Creativation?  Creativation is a 5 day trade show for the craft and hobby industry - manufacturers, artists, designers and all types of people from all types of craft and hobby businesses gather to learn, connect and discover what's new!

The highlight of the show is the opening of the actual "show floor" - - row after row of exhibitor booths showing off the latest and greatest products in the craft world.

Our first stop on the show floor - The Stamping Village - I love how they gathered ALL of the stamp companies in one section - there was a lot of camaraderie with the stamp manufacturers and they created a great section of the floor with wonderful booths, a photo op wall with props and even a seating area for a rest!

I love this new Backpack Die from Dare to Be ArtZy!  And with all those small parts and intricate details - you will be needing the No Clog Writing Cap on your Best Glue Ever.

Lawn Fawn is always a favorite of mine.  In my opinion, they had the best new craft product of the show - their new "shutter die"

My new stamp obsession is The Stamp Market - I love their large, bold sentiments - a clean, simple look with a WOW factor!

I am going to finish today's post with pics from a booth in  the General Crafts Section of Creativation and hands down, one of my top 5 favorite craft manufacturers - Buttons Galore and More - they have been around a long time - and buttons are so versatile in crafting!  They keep their product fresh and showcase some fabulous ways to use buttons "outside the box"

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the sights from Creativation 2020 and are feeling inspired!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a creative week!

Glad you had fun. For many years it was very exciting and almost a party atmosphere! ScraPerfect exhibited from 2004-2012. Back in the early years, the convention halls stretched from one end to another and even from floor to floor, building to building. Attendees were not allowed to use rolling carts because the aisles were so jammed packed! It was a huge amount of work and very expensive, but was good for exposure and networking. In fact, I met Robyn, one of our Design Team members and Kelly Marie from Lawn Fawn in Anaheim way back when!

ScraPerfect won a coveted award for our creative press kit and the Perfect Crafting Pouch was selected as a top 20 best product.

In the later years, we found it to be profiting the largest companies, big box stores, and the most well known names in the industry, and forgetting about the independent manufacturers, designers, and retail store owners and along with many, many companies, decided no longer to exhibit or even reman a member of the association.

I have fond memories of the show and mostly of all the wonderful women I met there. In fact, it was like going to summer camp year after year and catching up with old friends we only saw once a year but became very close to during that week.

AFCI and Creativation have many benefits from my perspective far-reaching the few days of the conference and trade show. Measuring just the cost of attending and basing impact solely upon those four days leaves a lot unmeasured. Yes, the days there are fun, social, educational, friendly, busy... I think the contacts made while there is just a jumping-off point for structuring the rest of your business year. I am not sure where else or how else you can gain that experience and knowledge in such a short amount of focused time. I am a firm believer in joining an association that supports your business focus. I also believe you get from what you put effort into. This is why I not only belong to AFCI but also spend time volunteering with AFCI. AFCI is open to change and wants to provide each member with personalized benefits. The only way to make this happen is to be a part of the change.
