How To Easily Create A Shaker Card

Hi everyone! Leslie here sharing a tutorial for creating a shaker card. This is my first DT inspiration project as a new member of the ScraPerfect design team and I'm so happy to be here! I have been using these products for several years and when I was notified that I had been selected for the design team, it was a dream come true for this old gal! This post contains affiliate links and at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you decide to make a purchase after clicking through the links. See Disclosure (1) here. I created an Easter shaker card using some pretty amazing ScraPerfect products, so grab a cuppa and hang with me as I walk you through my process for creating this fun card!

My personal preference is a small bottle filled with Best Glue Ever and a small No-Clog Writing Cap. This works really well for me.

Using two oval dies cut six frames, and then cut one whole oval from acetate. Run a line of Best Glue Ever around the outside edge of the acetate oval (on the front side) and let dry until clear. Allowing the glue to dry to a clear state will assure that it is nice and tacky.

Affix one of the frames to the front side of the acetate oval and then adhere the remaining five frames (one on top of the other) to the back side of the acetate oval using Best Glue Ever. This will complete the frame. Adhere all layers, strips and elements to the front and inside panels, and then adhere the front panel to the card base using Best Glue Ever.

Adhere the focal image to the front of the card using Best Glue Ever.

Lightly rub the Perfect Crafting Pouch (Strap-N-Tap used here) over the top of the focal image to get of any static. Run a line of Best Glue Ever around the outside edge of the frame (on the back side) and let dry until clear. Pour a small amount of Gorgeous Glitter into the center of the focal image and then affix the frame over the focal image trapping the shaker filler inside.

Adhere the inside panel to the inside of the card base.

Affix some gemstones to the front of the card using Embellie Gellie, and you're finished! ;)
