How to Make Homemade Planner Accessories, and a Coupon for Free shipping in the US, and a Product Giveaway

Welcome fellow crafter's Penny here today to show you my take on the ScraPerfect's Earth Day Planner Tag Challenge, and Prize Pack on the ScraPerfect Blog. Below you will see some of the planner tags I made from my scraps, and recycled packaging in honor of Earth Day.

And a few more because these are really additive when you start making them.

and some more! LOL

So to begin with I started with some of my scrapbook scraps,

and recycled packaging! I love putting this stuff to use instead of it sending it to landfills.

Next I needed some paperclips. I used both colored and plain office sliver. It's totally up to you.

Then I also found some packaging from some of my washi tape containers. They were the perfect size to fit on the bottom of my planner tags. I love being frugal, and Earth conscious as well.

Next I found a bunch of half used sticker sheets, and some stickers that were sent to me in the mail.

To hold all of this together I also used the Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect.

To start making my planner tags, I cut my paper scraps into whatever size the scraps best fit into. Sometimes it meant 4 small tags, and other times it meant just one tag.  Whatever it took to make a tag or two depending on the size of scraps you have and the size of tags you need.

I also used some washi tape, and a bone folder to help my tag creases look good.

On some tags, I used a corner rounder punch just to give them a different shape.

Next I added my paper clip, leaving enough of the paper clip at the top so that you could add a bow, or attach it to your planner page, or even a scrapbook page with a brad. At this point I also added the Best Glue Ever around the edges of the tag, and on the paper clip. Then I folded the tage up and held it just a few seconds until the glue dried.

Here are my tags all glued together with the clips attached. The side that shows more of the paper clip is the back of the tag. Now all you have to do is decorate the front of the tag or just leave them blank if you like that look.  These tags can also be used as bookmakers for whatever you are reading at the time.

I started by adding just a strip of paper.

Then I added some quotes, and a wooden star.

\\\\
Then I added some flowers, sequins, brads, and arrow, and some bling dots. Super easy!

Here are some photos of how I made another set.

Some flowers and a sticker strip, and some added bling. .

I also make some larger tags for my scrapbook pages the same way. All from recycled materials.

My granddaughter's Madison, and Olivia also helped me make some punched shapes into scrapbook flowers out of a lot of different materials. as well.

These tags were SO easy to make that Madison made these tags herself, and she is only 13, but I could see much younger children making these as well.

Hidden Paper Clip Project In Honor Of Earth Day And A Chance To Win

Hello welcome to the ScraPerfect blog,
a place to find inspiration in crafting,
using the innovative products from ScraPerfect.

Michelle here, to share my creative
project in honor of Earth Day.

I created 5 different
altered paper clip designs,
in various themes relating to nature & life,
using supplies like scraps of paper, washing tape,
ink, embellishments & tea bag "tags" with inspiring
words & phrases for each 3.5 x 2.5 card used.

Bringing it all together, the FABULOUS
ScraPerfect family of products.

For this project I used ScraPerfect:
Best Glue Ever
No-Clog Writing Cap (large)
Perfect Crafting Pouch
Embellie Gellie

I had purchased a small package some time ago
of small "gifting" cards and had a few left over, these
served as the perfect base for this project.

Using large paper clips, I attached the unclosed end
of each paper clip using the Best Glue Ever with the No-Clog Writing Cap
to the inside of each card, and securing with an added strip of glued paper,
before gluing each card shut.

I also used the Best Glue Ever to adhere patterned
paper to each card, and all embellishments & decorative elements as well.

For any slight "stickiness" by over use of glue, and for more "crisp" stamped images, I use the Perfect Crafting Pouch, lightly tapped. I also use it when I get glue on my fingers, as not to stick to every thing I touch while creating.

To place gemstone, pearl, and plastic elements, I couldn't do it without

And there you have it, project made easier
by the innovative products from ScraPerfect.

How To Make A Practical and Innovative Clip

Charity here from Scrappin' Chaos with an innovative way to make laptop parts into a practical clip.  My son loves to tear apart defunct electronics to see how they work. He recently found a laptop to disassemble. I rescued a few of the keys from his discovery and made them into a book mark.
I wanted to use four keys to make "BOOK" but of course only had one "O".
I pulled out my black acrylic paint and altered the "Q".
After collecting the remaining letters for "BOOK" and "READ", a strip of magnet, a piece of craft foam, and a giant paperclip I was ready to get started.
First I cut craft foam to fit inside the cavity on the back of the letters. A squeeze of the Best Glue Ever and the craft foam was solidly in place.
Next I glued the letters to a square of kraft paper.
The magnet strip wasn't as large as the word square. I cut it the length of the square and glued it to the kraft paper square.
Once both my word squares were completed and dry I clipped them on either side of the giant paperclip.
They also can be placed directly on either side of the page to mark the readers place.

I forgot to add in the video that i used gloss enamel on the tops of the clips to make the tops more robust. I painted the clip part and used a matte medium to seal it but whether the paint will stay on is another thing.

The Crafting pouch is good for untacking the glue and the Embellie Gellie makes picking up little bits easier.

I created these planner clips to mark the months out in my planner book.
Here is a tutorial video
