How To Make Stamped Watercolor Washi Tape

Hello everyone, Michelle here bringing you my latest project, featuring FABULOUS ScraPerfect products.

Today's project was something I had seen on Pinterest I am sure, making personalized washing tape from masking tape. My first efforts months ago, were not successful,
not even close.

But, with ScraPerfect's Perfect Crafting Pouch, my latest endeavor was a total success!

For this project, I used the 1/3 inch size tape. I chose 8-10 inch lengths for each design.
Once I had securely attached the tape to my craft mat, I used the Perfect Crafting Pouch, in a light pouncing method, the entire length of the tape.

Next, I used watercolor paint, gelato's, distress ink & paints, to achieve the
base of each design.

I dried each with my heat tool, and applied another application of the
Perfect Crafting Pouch prior to stamping images & words on each.

For the more vintage look for a couple of the designs, I used a tea/coffee stain blend, along with distress ink & metallic spray & paint.

All of these methods worked so well with the tape, I decided to do the same with the Perfect Crafting Pouch, and the watercolor, gelato and stain to make coordinating paper flowers as well.

Once each flower had dried, I shaped the petals, and used ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever to glue the layers together.

There you have it, wash tape & flowers with a personal touch.

Sometimes purchased embellishments may not be exactly what you are looking to complete a project. Using these techniques & ScraPerfect products, personalizing embellishments is a breeze, and completes projects with perfection.

  1. TFS! Great idea to customize the tape and embellishment to the project. And we won't be buying rolls and rolls of because we want variety! OOH! Maybe even start with solid color Washi tapes we already have and turn them into cool custom designs!
