Adding Ric Rac with ScraPerfect

Hey there Scrappy Friends!
Lisa here today to share a simple way to add ribbon to your card, layout or any craft project. I struggled to find the right adhesive for all widths of ribbon until now... ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever, is really the best adhesive ever, in my eyes! I have tried the red double sided tape, sure it works for larger width ribbon, but what about this ribbon and ric rac? I used to cut it down to the width I needed, after finally getting it unstuck from my scissors, I would struggle to get it where I wanted it. I was so frustrated!
While creating this card, I wanted to add ric rac but really didn't want not use that red double sided tape. So I grabbed the Best Glue Ever. Did you know, that if you let it dry to a clear state, it is tacky and can be re-positioned? That is exactly what I did!
Here's the tutorial:

I started by cutting two pieces of patterned paper. Using the Best Glue Ever I glued them to a piece of scrap paper:

I added a thin line of the Best Glue Ever with the No-Clog Writing Cap

And waited...

I waited for a few minutes until it was clear:

Then placed my ric rac on top. The glue is tacky and repositionable, perfect because I didn't get the ric rac on straight the first time. Since the glue is tacky, it doesn't seep into the ribbon. Love it!

Once I had it where I wanted, I took the Perfect Crafting Pouch and rubbed it over the spots where a bit of glue was showing. This takes care of the sticky spots from the glue.

Finally, I wanted to share a tip I recently learned and I think it will save me lots of money in the long run. Instead of buying foam tape or foam dots, pick up a pack of self adhesive foam at Walmart. You get a big stack for only $5. I was paying at least that for the foam tape I was using. One side of the foam is sticky. In this photo, I applied the sticky side to my embellie and then added some Best Glue Ever to the other side.

Here's my finished card:

The more I work with ScraPerfect products, the more I love them!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Lisa
