Art Journalling with ScraPerfect

Art Journalling with ScraPerfect

I love the concept of Art be able to express your feelings and emotions through crafting...I call it a "Play Date" with yourself.  In fact I'm often urging the ladies in my classes to schedule a Play Date with themselves... take out everything they own of one specific product (In the case of this Art Journal Page, we used Colour Sprays) and just P.L.A.Y!  Open all the packages (I KNOW you have some unused treasures in your craft space), Fool around with different colours, and just SEE what happens!  Let the mood take never know what you will discover, and I KNOW you will have fun!

For this Art Journal Class "Growth", I used the quote "The Poetry of the Earth is never Dead".  The concept that the Earth, and us, are always growing, changing in subtle ways, and this quote really spoke to me.

We used Dylusions Sprays and water to create the fluid background.  Then I diecut the "Poetry" and "Earth" out of Core-Dinations paper, and we sanded them to create more interest.  The yellow Doily and the Blue flowers were diecut out of vellum, and I used ScraPerfect's "Best Glue Ever" to attach them to the page.  I love using Best Glue Ever on Vellum, because only a little dab is needed, so I never see the glue through the vellum!

The quotes were actually a Stampers Anonymous background stamp that I cut up into little "banners" to create more interest on the page.  I find that Art Journalling has really made me look at ALL my crafting supplies to see how to incorporate all sorts of different products, and techniques into my pages!
And of course, my Best Glue Ever took care of attaching all of the banners and the little buttons in the centre of the diecut flowers!

I hope you this page has inspired you to schedule a Play Date for yourself today!  Get Messy, Get Creative, but most of all Have F.U.N!!

Check out all of ScraPerfect's Products and idea's on their website!
