The Best Glue for Embellishments

What's the best way to add embellishments to a project? Use the Best Glue Ever! The fine tip lets you make thin lines and tiny dots to add hard-to-adhere items such as ribbon and sequins.

On this layout I wanted to add a ribbon separating two pieces of pattern paper.  I used the Best Glue Ever to make a thin line on my paper and let it dry until tacky.  Once it was tacky I added the ribbon for a completely no-show adhesive.  The glue will never bleed through your ribbon.

And the fine tip lets you add tiny dots easily to your project.  I placed dots around my layout where I wanted to add sequins.

Just one tiny dot is all you need to hold your embellishment.  Here's my finished layout -

Trash To Treasure

 Hello All
It's Glen here with a new quick project that takes an item from winding up in the landfill and making it into a nice piece of art. I found this at a thrift shop for a few dollars and it sat around for months until I got an idea. I cut a piece of paper and using the Best Glue Ever I added a small amount to the disk and placed a nice paper to it. I left the other side empty in case someone would like to put a photo in the other side.

I added the flowers and petals to make it more attractive and colorful, it only took a small amount of the Best Glue ever to attach each piece. I hope you enjoyed this post and be sure to check out the others on this blog, and be sure to check out the great products from ScraPerfect!

Paper Piecing Bookmark with Tricky Embellishments

Good morning ScraPerfect friends! Chelsea here to share a bookmark project I created using paper piecing and embellishments.

Supplies Needed :

Best Glue Ever
Embellie Gellie
Cardstock and Pattern Paper
Brads and Embellishments
Optional: Sewing Needle or Safety Pin, Piece of Cork

Step 1 : Attaching paper piecing letters. Dot your BGE sparingly on the back of each paper piecing letter. Using your Embellie Gellie pick up your BGE'd letter and flip it over. Now, using the Embellie Gellie move it into place. I love the BGE in combo with Embellie Gellie when paper piecing because the BGE gives you enough wiggle room to get your piecing perfectly aliened

Step 2 : Attaching brads. At this stage you will want to add your brads to your pattern paper. Make a small hole through your project using a sewing needle or opened safety pin to make sure everything lines up and your brad will be in the correct place. (You may want to use a piece of cork so you don't stick your finger with the sharp object when coming through the back side of your pattern paper.) Plus, by using a sewing needle or opened safety pin to make a small hole it is easier to poke the brad through your pattern paper. Once brads are in place you will notice the weight of the pattern paper is much heavier. Don't fret. With the BGE we can ensure a quick and steady hold. Apply the BGE thinly over the entire back of your decorated pattern paper. Let dry clear and adhere your decorated pattern paper to your cardstock base.

Step 3: Finishing touches. To complete this bookmark I used 2 flower embellishments. Apply your BGE to the back of your embellishment and let dry clear. Once clear, attach your embellishment to your project. Using a hole punch to punch a hole or a box cutter knife to make a small slit through your project and thread your piece ribbon through it. Tie a loose knot in your ribbon to secure it so it does not slip back out of the hole.

Your bookmark is complete! Thanks for stopping by.  Remember, we love to see your work! Share in the comment below or on our facebook page!

Vintologie Photo Easel Calender

Hello All
It's Glen here with a new project using Graphic 45's Place In Time collection. I use the Best Glue Ever to adhere the cut pieces for each page. Note how little I use on the pieces to place them on the page. You don't need alot.

I glue different elements on each month while at the same time try to have a format that is consistent throughout all the pages.

Storage Box Transformation : Lid

Good Morning ScraPerfect Friends! Chelsea here to share an update on the transformation of my fishing tackle box. I would like to share with you how I decorated the lid to my new storage container.

Products Used : Best Glue Ever & Embellie Gellie

Step 1 : Attaching Paper Pieces and Cardstock layers: Using small dabs of BGE on the back of each of my cut out letters I adhered them on to the 'shadow' cardstock right away.  Not allowing the BGE to dry clear as we do sometimes. While the glue is still wet you have a little wiggle room if you don't place it down correctly the first time. I used the Embellie Gellie to move the letters into their correct places.
** Please note that if you allow the glue to dry clear and tacky before applying it to your project it will be permanent vs applying while the glue is still white and wet which causes it to be removable for a few seconds.**

Next I applied a thin layer of BGE onto each of my rectangle layer pieces. I again attached the patterned paper while the glue was still white and wet. Although the pink cardstock was directly attached to the storage container I let it dry clear and tacky to ensure a strong permanent bond.

Step 2 : Attaching ribbon: To attach my ribbon I placed a thin layer of BCE on all 4 sides of my containers top outer edge. Using my finger I spread the BGE evenly and let it dry completely clear and tacky.
**It is very important when working with ribbon that you always apply the BGE on the project and not the ribbon itself as the wetness from the glue will leave wet dark marks on the ribbon even after is has dried.**

When I reached each corner I folded the ribbon 90 degrees to create the corner ribbon turn.

Step 3 : Attaching Gem Embellishments: I purchased these self adhesive gems but, of course, the adhesive was not strong enough to stick and stay stuck to my ribbon. I used BGE on the back of each gem again letting it dry clear and tacky before placing them on the ribbon. VOILA!

Check back late March for the finished storage container project!

Thanks for stopping by!

Custom Made Dividers for Craft Storage Container

Good Morning ScraPerfect Friends! Chelsea here to share a project I am working on. I am creating a custom craft storage container. It is a recycled fishing tackle box which has no dividers. I decided to turn this into my ScraPerfect Storage Container. It will hold all the products neatly and easily but the storage container itself needed a crafty touch.

Today I am going to show you how I created my easy custom dividers. I borrowed a plastic divider from another container and traced it onto a piece of cardboard as many times as I could, until the cardboard was completely full. I am recycling used cereal boxes for this project. You will require two cardboard cut outs of your traced plastic divider for each crafted divider you are making.

Once the plastic divider has been traced onto the cereal box, cut out each traced piece. Using the printed side of the cardboard I apply the BGE thinly on only one of the two cut outs needed to make each individual divider. If you are not using a cereal box and your cardboard is plain on both sides it does not matter which side of the cardboard you place the BGE on. Next attach two of the cut outs together directly on top of each other. One piece with BGE on and one without. Give this a few minute to dry.

To add a crafty feel I use washi tape as an accent on the custom made dividers.

Watch the progress of this revamp project through the month of March as I transform this drab looking fishing tackle box into a useful craft storage container for all my ScraPerfect products.

Assembling embellishments

Hi ScraPerfect friends, Steph Ackerman here today.

Do you ever try to adhere glitter paper together and find they constantly fall apart?  Well if you use the Best Glue Ever, that will never happen.  It's super strong and dries clear.

I've created a bunch of embellishments and used the Best Glue Ever on all of them.

For all those little bits, including the skull's eyes, the Embellie Gellie works great.  It picks up all those tiny pieces so you can glue them in place.

So remember to pick up the Best Glue Ever and use it when working with glitter paper.
Thanks for stopping by today.
