It's Easy With the Best Glue Ever

I love anything that makes crafting quick and easy and I just love how easy it is to put together my layouts using the Best Glue Ever.  It's so economical because you only need a tiny drop of glue to hold your embellishments.

For example, I had all these things for my layout that I cut with my Silhouette -- skinny letters, skinny circles and a really tiny dot for the "i" -- all things that can be difficult to adhere without glue seeping out from behind or around the edges. And don't get me started on tape rollers!

This is all the glue I needed to adhere my cut outs.  One tiny dot at the top and bottom of each part of the letters.  And for the doily I used only four tiny dots of glue.

Here's a great use for Embellie Gellie - picking up all those dots for "i's" you have to stick down.  Now that it's on my Embellie Gellie it's super easy to add a dot of the Best Glue Ever and place it on the layout.

Swiffer Repair

Morning All

It's Glen  here on this holiday weekend with an emergency repair.  I pulled out my Swiffer floor cleaner and discovered that  the trigger button wasn't working and thought "Oh damn now this is broken!"  So I carefully I opened it up and found the battery connection had slipped out and wasn't making contact.

So I pulled out  the Best Glue Ever and I went to work on it.  After the repair, I  let it sit overnight.

So as you can see it is now repaired  and now I have to mop the floors...UGH!

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to check out the other posts on the blog and the Scraperfect web page for more exciting products.

Earrings from Paper Craft Supplies. (And nothing more to buy!)

Hello-- Amy Here!

Many of us have at least one "weakness" when it comes to shopping or collecting. When my daughter was three, she LOVED SHOES so much I was concerned she was going to be one of those women with a room just for their shoes! My friend, Stef, has enough vests that she can wear a different one every day of the year.  ME??? I love EARRINGS and I like wearing different ones to match my activity, my t-shirt, the season, or whatever. Lucky for me, earrings don't take up much room.

Though much of my crafting is with paper, I like taking pieces from other jewelry and creating funky earrings.  I wore these today when volunteering with a 5th grade class exploring low tide:

Well last week at Goodwill, I found a box of cool metal "hardware" that were really designed for paper crafting, but I just thought that maybe I could use them for earrings. In fact, I gave myself that challenge, figuring I need another way to start using my supplies.

I apologize in advance that it was evening and the light in my room isn't great for crafting or videos, but I hope you find it useful or inspirational!

OH! By the way--you might prefer to use stamps to create your own paper. Or maybe photographs. Or advertising paraphernalia. Or???

Stay tuned for the next video in this series, as I make a completely different style of earrings from paper craft supplies!

Congrats Card

Hi ScraPerfect fans, Michelle here with a simple card that could be used for many occasions, but with congrats it make for a nice graduation card.

I used Embellie Gellie and the Best Glue Ever to attach all the pieces.  Embellie Gellie is great for little fussy cut pieces like this cluster of flowers.

The other great thing is that Embellie Gellie can hold the embellishment while you place the adhesive on it.

Then use Embellie Gellie to place the embellishment on the desired spot on the card.

 Thanks for looking!

BGE Fix : Metal Container

Morning ScraPerfect friends ! Chelsea here with a fabulous plastic to metal project fix!

I had this tin but the plastic insert fell out (wasn't adhered very well when it was originally created) but with the Best Glue Ever it is an easy fix.

To begin place a thin layer of BGE around the edge of the lid , I prefer placing it on the metal instead of the plastic so that it does not smear where I don't wish the glue to be. In my case I only had 2 VERY thin lines that actually come in contact with the plastic lid that I needed to be more persist. Personal preference though. Did you know how small the tip is of the BGE? See how it just enough to cover the tiny area I needed. Amazing eh!?

Let the glue dry clear before adhering the plastic cover inside the medal lid. This will only take a few minutes because the layer is only thin. Enjoy some progress photos of the drying process! It took appox 10 mins to be fully clear. I did attach the plastic lid a little to early but another 5 minutes it was completely clear. In reality it wasn't a big deal. Note the thin line above the base dried quicker then the flat section.

Once the glue has dried clear you are ready to replace your plastic insert. Place in place and press firmly.

Now you are ready to reuse your container. Best part is that the BGE is waterproof which means you can wash your container ! How awesome is that! Go grab your bottle of glue and fix objects around the house!

Don't forget to share with us on our Facebook page your projects/tips of how your using the BGE!

Have a scrappy day!!

Lacey Love

Hi ScraPerfect friends, Steph here today with a wedding card.

Do you ever work on a project and find that little "something" bothered you about your project?  Well, after finishing my card, I was a little annoyed at the gap between the front panels.  Guess I didn't measure correcty!!!  That strip of white showing really bothered me so I put aside the card.

After several days, I picked up this card again and knew immediately how to fix the "problem".  I had some pretty lace in my stash and I thought I'd adhere to the left side panel.

Using the Best Glue Ever, I put the glue directly on the ribbon and placed in on the left flap.  I used alligator clips to hold the ribbon in place while it set.  Ahh, so much better.

And the inside of the card.

So next time you have an "issue" with something you've created, try a little ribbon and the Best Glue Ever to hold it in place.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Steph

Bring on the Bling!

I've been getting packets of sequins inside my monthly scrapbook kits.  And while they're really fun to look at, they can be a bit of a pain to use. Unless you have two things: the Best Glue Ever and Embellie Gellie.

I like the haphazard look for these kind of embellishments, so I shook a small handful and dropped them onto my 4x6 card and let them fall where they may.  Admittedly, sometimes it takes me a couple of tries before I'm happy. Often I move a few, drop a few more, move a few.

But once I'm satisfied with the layout I grab my bottle of the Best Glue Ever and my Embellie Gellie.  Embellie Gellie is the best way to pick up small embellishments. When you open a new pack, pinch off a small pea-sized piece of the Embellie Gellie, roll it into a ball and stick onto the end of the applicator stick.  It's that easy.

Embellie Gellie lets me pick up the sequins quickly and easily to apply a small drop of the Best Glue Ever. And then it releases the sequin just as easily, once I place it down on the paper.

You can just as easily use the Embellie Gellie to pick up your sequin, add a drop of glue directly to your project and then place the sequin on top of the glue.  This helps if you're like me and bad at remembering just where the sequin goes.

I thought I'd show you the same effect on a layout. So, use that bling!

Ornament Tag #2

Hello Friends -

It's Glen here with another fantastic piece I made with the Best Glue Ever!  I've been continuing my project of decorating my indoor tree for summer, and for me that means birds and more birds. While I celebrate the fact that we have Carolina Wrens, Catbirds, Robins, Cardinals, Chickadees, Grackles and some as yet unidentified visitors on the outside, I also reflect that enthusiasm on the inside.

I used the Best Glue Ever to adhere my French Country paper to thick cardstock. I cut out a bird from Uncle Tim's new Wallflower paper pad and K & Co 's Susan Winget cardstock to make my project. I used the  Perfect Crafting Pouch to help the sticky edges disappear and inked all the edges of each piece.

I hope you will be inspired to try your own projects using the great products offered by ScraPerfect.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Card Box

Hey ScraPerfect fans, Michelle here with a fun pop up card.  These card boxes are great for a unique 3D card, but can lay flat so you can place them in an envelope too.

I used a tutorial from splitcoaststampers.com to create the card base.  But follow along to see how I use some of the great products from ScraPerfect to add all the little details.

After fussy cutting these little banners from a piece of patterned paper I used the Best Glue Ever to add a small spot of glue to the back of each banner piece.

The fine tip on the Best Glue Ever makes it easy to apply glue to small spots and in small amounts.

Now that I've applied the glue it can be a bit tricky to get the banner piece up so I used my Embellie Gellie to grab the adhesive backed banner from my work surface.

I also used the Embellie Gellie to attach other embellishments.  For this one I'm attaching with a pre made, custom pop up adhesive spot made using the Best Glue Ever.

Embellie Gellie makes it easy to grab an embellishment, add adhesive and attach to a project.

When you are done the card lies flat to be placed in an envelope.

Then the recipient can proudly display a one of a kind card.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Birthday Poppy

Hi ScraPerfect friends, Steph here today with a birthday card I hope you'll love.

I began by embossing the purple background with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and lightly inking with Faber Castel Gelatos.

I love this Memory Box die, but it is so very thin.  The Best Glue Ever was perfect to use to adhere all those tiny pieces.

I used Faber Castell Gelatos on the ribbon, running several colors of purple along the length, then I placed it in a bag of water and smooshed it around.  This allowed the ink to "dissolve" on the ribbon and turned the ribbon lavender to match the background.

After drying the ribbon, I tied it around the card, then added a sentiment to the ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Layout You & Me

Hello ladies, here again with you Marilia Lopes.
Basically my work will always be layouts and altered once in a while one or a card.

And The Best Glue Ever is what I use in all my layouts.
Very practical and just a drop of glue for all my emblies and flowers.

Embellie Gellie is my new passion, suffering goodbye time to grab small pieces.

Simple as in the picture

I hope you enjoy and be inspired!
Have a beautiful day!

Ornament Tag

Hello All

It's Glen here with a nice idea that's a little strange, so let me explain.

When my father was in the hospital in December I was so tired from working and running back and forth to the hospital that I just didn't have the wherewithal to put up our big 8ft tree. So I went to Big Lots and found a small - not too broad tree about five feet tall. It was a display model and was on sale half off plus I had a coupon. It cost me $36 but the catch is there's no box. I decorated the tree with ceramic angel ornaments and birds that he got from The Bradford Exchange and added two that I intended to give dad for Xmas. When the holidays were over I left the tree where it was.  Dad died on Jan 28th and the tree is still up. I have no place to put it and no box to put it in, so since we used to have an indoor Norfolk pine there it made sense, to me at least. Then I got the idea of decorating the tree for the Spring,Summer, July 4th and so on.

Mother's Day Card

Hey ScraPerfect fans, Michelle here to share with you a simple Mother's Day card.

Everything on this card is attached using the Best Glue Ever.  Including the foam Thickers.

Don't you hate it when the adhesive wears off on your alphabet stickers and the title of a layout starts to fall apart?  Now there's a solution.  Add just a bit of the Best Glue Ever before adding them to projects and they will have a much better hold.

I used the Best Glue Ever and one of my favorite tools, Embellie Gellie to attach the button and all the flowers.

Happy Mother's Day!
